A sign posted off-road but easy-going 'out & back' route that follows the River Swale through the picturesque Swaledale - and avoids the hills! The Swale Trail is 22km out to the village of Keld and same back. The first half, a 12km section to the pretty village of Gunnerside is a great option being low level and easy going. Gunnerside has a great little pub the Kings Head for a refreshment before heading back.
